2011-2012 Crane Leadership Scholars
The William Moore Crane Leadership Scholarship is an award of $1000 per year in memory of William (“Bill”) Crane, who graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia in 1921 and Harvard Law School in 1923. He was instrumental in founding the University of Georgia Alumni Society.
This program is jointly administered by the Honors Program and the Center for Leadership & Service.
Applicants must be students in the Honors Program with a minimum University of Georgia cumulative GPA of 3.7 and have a record of outstanding leadership in extracurricular activities and/or community, civic, or religious organizations.
Applicants must be in their third year at the University of Georgia and currently registered as a full-time student in the Honors Program. Recipients of the Foundation Fellowship or Bradley-Turner Scholarship are not eligible to apply.
The scholarship is renewable in a recipient's fourth year, subject to a 3.7 minimum cumulative GPA.
