2012 Volunteer UGA Day of Service Site Leader
Volunteer UGA is looking for anyone interested in being a site leader for the Day of Service (DOS)! The date is set for MARCH 31st, 2012 and site leaders are a huge part of making the day a positive and fun service experience! You help bring everyone who comes
out to participate together so that not only can they help out the Athens community, but they can leave feeling excited about continuing to volunteer. Not only do you help out on the day, but you also play a huge role in helping your site prepare for a day
of volunteering! Site leaders will: - be in charge of managing a group of volunteers (anywhere from 5 to 45), leading them in a service project and ensuring they have a meaningful experience - assist the site coordinator in organizing volunteers and explaining
instructions for the day - actively participate in service - provide motivation through a positive attitude and enthusiasm about service - lead volunteers in post-service reflection
REQUIREMENTS: - visit the site a minimum of two times in the spring semester
(January and March) and complete corresponding info sheets - attend two site leader training meetings in the spring semester - be available on March 31st for the day! :) As the Directors of Outreach for Volunteer UGA, we couldn't be more excited about this
year's upcoming day of service! We couldn't do it without help from all of the site leaders and we look forward to meeting and working with you all!
