Who is LeaderShape for?

LeaderShape is for everyone and anyone who desires to make a positive impact on their campus, community, and world.  Whether you have a well-articulated plan for your future or have no idea where you are going in life, LeaderShape provides you with the skills to dream big and to see those dreams fulfilled.

Do I have to be at a certain class level or currently hold a leadership position on campus to apply?

No, the UGA LeaderShape Institute is open to all UGA students, at all class levels, from any major area of study, and at any level of involvement. However, you are required to be enrolled full time at The University of Georgia, in good academic and social standing (i.e., not currently under any sanctions or probations), and be returning to UGA for at least one subsequent semester post-LeaderShape.

Does LeaderShape cost anything?

There is only one, non-refundable $100 deposit required to hold your spot at The Institute and subsidize the cost of the overall experience. Deposits will be due to the Center for Leadership & Service prior to attending LeaderShape, if you are selected.  The LeaderShape Institute costs nearly $1,000 per participant to implement; however, almost all of this experience, as well as all materials, food, lodging, extras, and transportation to and from the site, is covered.

Do I have to prepare anything in order to attend LeaderShape?

The only preparation necessary before the Institute (besides packing your suitcase, of course) is inner preparation.  Be prepared to have your views challenged, and perhaps even changed.  Be prepared to meet people different from yourself, and to connect with those people on a deep level.  Be prepared to laugh, cry, lose sleep, and gain friends.  Finally, be prepared to take part in an experience that is truly life-changing.

Is there a GPA requirement for applicants to LeaderShape?

No, the only requirement is that you are not under academic probation.
